For the last 8 years, Obama’s lawlessness has resulted in countless illegal aliens crossing the border and staying in the country. But that is about to change.
Daniela Vargas, an illegal immigrant who had gone into hiding, held a press conference in Mississippi, apparently to tell the media how scared she was of being deported.
Then, she discovered that the days of lawlessness are over – after her press conference, she was promptly detained by ICE on her way back home.
Vargas is a so-called “DREAMer,” an illegal immigrant who was brought to the country as a child by their parents or some other border-crossing adults.
Her father and brother had already been arrested a month earlier, but Vargas escaped authorities by hiding in a closet. When they later found her, she was handcuffed temporarily and released.
Under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, immigration policy, Vargas must renew her application every two years. Hers had expired but was in the process of being renewed. It’s unclear as to why there is a lapse in her expired visa and renewal application.

Federal immigration agents arrested a 22-year-old immigrant moments after she detailed her fears of deportation during a news conference in Mississippi on Wednesday, according to reports.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents swooped in and cuffed Daniela Vargas — a so-called “Dreamer” granted deportation reprieve under President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy — for overstaying her visa as she left the rally in Jackson, the Clarion-Ledger reported.
ICE agents arrested her father and brother outside their home last month but Vargas hid in a closet, and agents later handcuffed her, and then released her, the Ledger reported. She went into hiding and came out to speak at the news conference but moments later ICE agents pulled over her friend’s car as the two were driving home, according to the paper.
A judge will determine whether or not Vargas must return to Argentina.
Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois said he found the possibility that Vargas had been tracked to be “disturbing.”

Thomas Byrd, an ICE spokesman, essentially responded that of course she was being tracked because of her “visa overstay” status.
Vargas was arrested “during a targeted immigration enforcement action in Jackson, Mississippi,” he explained.
He added, “ICE does not conduct sweeps or raids that target aliens indiscriminately.”
